The Strand Arms


Introduction:

The Strand Arms is located across the street from Capitol Mall, at the South East corner of 4th and Jefferson streets, equidistant from St. Luke's Hospital to the East, the Central Business District to the West and the Federal Building to the North. It is within convenient walking distance of all these locations.

Target Tenants:

The Strand Arms is not another millionaire's dream, planned by a developer for rich friends like many new buildings downtown. Rather it is planned for young working professionals who wish to live in an affordable location convenient to their work. All the apartments are one-bedroom.

Older retired couples whose children have gone would also find this a delightful place to live. It is walking distance to downtown and its amenities. Then there is the ability to just lock up and go for extended periods without worry.

Although we prefer not to contemplate it, divorce is a reality in our time, and should it happen, a pleasant place to regroup and reorganize can help one make the required adjustment.The Strand Arms, with its adult emphasis, is such a place.

Style:

The exterior of the building is based on the 1920's Mission style, which was popular in Boise in the past, yet retains an elegant simplicity suitable for the 21st century. The Boise Depot, the restaurant at Fourth and Bannock and a duplex between 9th and 10th Streets on Fort are other examples of this style

Inside, the common areas will feature some of the turn of the century artifacts from the 1890 house which was previously located on the property.

The apartments themselves, are European contemporary: Simple, with white walls, so that the tenant's art and furniture will express the taste of the tenant, rather than apartment imposing its standards of taste on the occupant.

Most apartments have a large balcony, and many have world class views. All are one-bedroom some (not for the less neat among us) with the bedroom integrated into the living area.

  • And finally, in the cellar, wine storage bins available at a slight extra charge.
